How many of us have been to Mass and struggled to understand what was happening? The pieces of the Mass have probably become routine and maybe we’ve lost that fire from within? And who hasn’t heard a homily by a cleric that has sounded lofty and over the top?
The Lay Catholic Sojourn has spent years working for and volunteering with Mother Church. She has a deep passion for the liturgy and hopes to be able to help everyone understand the faith a little better, from a simple, layperson’s point of view. There is no reason to NOT love being Catholic. Most of us just need that extra boost to feel the fire burn within our hearts once again.
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And you shall renew the face of the earth.
O God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy his consolations.
Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
